 My husband and I have said that hiring Shereen was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. After seeing what a difference she made in relieving my level of pre-wedding anxiety, my husband’s comment was, “I only wish we had hired her sooner.”
Shereen was our “day-of” coordinator for our wedding on February 19, 2006. It was a relatively large event (close to 200 guests), and the site we chose was a bit of a challenge in that nothing was included with the site rental. We had to arrange all our own vendors and make sure all of the details were appropriately coordinated. From the moment we brought Shereen on board, we knew we were in good hands.
Shereen and I met before the wedding several times to go over all the details. (I consider myself to be a very detail-oriented person and Shereen brought things to my attention that I had completely missed!) I had a lot of questions about how to appropriately include step and blended family in the ceremony. We wanted our ceremony to be honoring of all of our families, and she was infinitely helpful in researching etiquette and finding answers for us when it came to our complicated family situations.
I had lined up most of the vendors in the months before, but Shereen “took the reins” and very professionally handled all of the confirmation and follow-up with each vendor (photographer, videographer, caterer, baker, rentals, DJ, string trio, florist, hair and make-up artists, just to name a few). She provided each vendor with a wedding-weekend schedule that highlighted any details pertaining to them. She held copies of all of our contracts on the wedding day in case of any dispute, and was the point person for every vendor as they arrived and left.
In additional to helping finalize the details and handling all of the day-of logistics, Shereen ran our rehearsal incredibly efficiently. Understanding the delicate dynamics of our families, she provided seating charts, photo lists, wedding day schedules, even directions to the rehearsal dinner for those at the rehearsal. Everyone had the information they needed and wanted and she approached the situation with professionalism and sensitivity.
Shereen’s interest and commitment to our event and to us extended past the wedding as well. She sent us off to on our wedding night with a beautiful basket of food from the reception and a very thoughtful hand-written note. She even handled some of the marriage license paperwork for us while we were on our honeymoon. She and I will be getting together soon to look at pictures of the event.
To sum it all up – Shereen was and is nothing short of amazing. We got incredibly good feedback on her from our vendors, from our Pastor and from our family on all sides. She was incredibly thorough, professional, and more than pleasant to work with! Her organizational skills are phenomenal! On top of that, I think what really sets her apart is her understanding that a wedding is a very personal expression of the couple, and her commitment to the vision of each individual couple that she works with. Because we were confident she understood what we were aiming for in our event, we were able to completely trust her decision-making on our behalf. We knew she had every detail of our day in mind, and knowing that enabled my husband and me to relax and truly enjoy our wedding and guests. We cannot recommend Shereen highly enough! As I said at the beginning of this letter, she was the best decision we made in our wedding planning!

Thank you! Thank you hardly seems appropriate for everything you did. Your attention to detail gave us good things to think about when finishing the last bits of our planning. It was comforting for Steph and I to have someone like you in our corner. We worked really hard planning our wedding, so it was a relief having you there to carry out our vision for our wedding day. From the beginning of the day when you saved the brides dress with your emergency kit, to having the reception flow without skipping a beat, and ending it with such a great surprise that only you and your connections could have done! Put all those pieces together and we have the greatest memories anyone could ever pray for. You are absolutley fantastic at what you do! You were a huge blessing to us and our families on our wedding day. We know you will continue to bless others with your tallents and abilities through Ever After Events. As for Shereen, I really think she is fantastic at doing this. She has a real passion and love for it, with a degree in hotel management. She is a natural for organizing events and I think you would be very happy with her work. A few years ago, when my brother was getting married in Alabama she came to the wedding since she went to school nearby, we all arrived the day before at rehearsal time and my brother's wedding planner/ photographer had not done much of anything, hadn't checked on anything didn't even show up for the rehearsal - total disaster. Long story short Shereen took over at our request and she did just an amazing job in about 24 hours. She really not only saved the wedding but made it really picture perfect and flow smoothly. She really proved to me she could not only pull this off as well as any professional but must be good at it to have to start from scratch or fix everything, especially not knowing any of the local businesses that she got to supply everything. We got compliments from many guests afterward at how well it had been planned and how beautiful everything was as if we had planned it all out for a long time.

You are amazing! Our wedding was absolutely perfect because of you. We consider ourselves to be organized, but after the wedding we realized how many details would have been over looked had you not been there for us.
